Check Engine Light is back on after about 30 miles of driving. I have a photo of the mileage reading and the Check Engine Light. I did check that the gas fill cap was installed properly. I have not yet scheduled another service appointment. I'm still trying to decide my next course of action since Ingersoll has not been able to solve the problem. My emissions inspection was due April 23rd, and there is a 30 day grace period.

Hi, I came in for some mudflaps to be installed that the salesman said that he ordered them or and that I should come in on Saturday well, I didn’t realize that I would have to pay for it was never mentioned that anything that I would have to pay for it was a little setback in my thinking of a Going back there for another sale or whatever you know but other than that, they did a nice job on the mudflaps and I’m out and about thank you?

Car was serviced on Saturday and it ran poorly after I picked it up. Dropped it off Monday evening, car was in the service department the whole day before I got a call that the car needed to stay at least another day…for an alignment and wheel balancing. Two days really seems a bit outrageous.

As always, great experience with Ingersoll service, they never disappoint, never. The one issue I have, which somewhat reflects on the level of quality of servicing over the years, is that we are moving to another state within a few weeks and now need to find another dealer that can perform at the same level of excellence as Ingersoll, this is going to be a task I do not look forward to. I was told that I needed oil dye for possible oil leak. Got it done and told to take back after driven 500 miles. On 6/9 the engine light went on with code that steering wheel needs maintenance. Car shaking. Can’t drive it. Called service John gave me an appt for 6/13 at 8:40. No lender cars available either. I checked invoice Power steering fluid checked off as Not Applicable!

Ingersoll staff are exceptional. My disappointment was in discovering that the design of my C-8 did not allow it's transmission filter to be as accessible as the engine oil filter, the result being a $661 charge, for as service that otherwise might have been far less. There is an open access to the oil filter. Why could there not be another for the transmission? If I drive 60,000 miles, it appears that I will incur almost $7,000 in costs, for transmission filters alone. It seems to me, that GM ought to have been more considerate of owners. It is inconceivable, that a simple access hatch, could not have been incorporated within the skid plate, rather than requiring 42 bolts to be removed, each time such service is required. Interestingly, this has been much discussed, in my recent reading of C-8 owners on-line commentaries, with many owners purchasing stainless steel hatches. Is there any reason why not to do the same with mine? Respectfully, Allen Hindin

it was a terrible experience, i went there because my car failed emissions due to engine light being on. with my failed emissions it gave me the code and what was wrong with them. I went to your dealership to get an estimate on what it would cost to fix. they told me i had to make an appointment. so i did for the following week at 11am. i brought my car in and tried to explain that i just wanted an estimate to fix it and that i had paperwork describing what was wrong with my car. they told me it would be 182 dollars for diagnosis. i again went to show them the paperwork and they dismmised it and said he didn't need it. so against my judgement i let them take my car. they said it would take awhile so i got a ride home. at 142 pm i got a text saying they still have not got my car in front of a technician. At 342 i got a phone call saying they needed more time and needed to do an oil change. asked if they could keep my car till then next day. I feel that if an appointment is made it should not take over 3 hours. I told them i needed my car by 11 am thursday. I reached out to see what was going on with my car, at 940 i got an answer on what was wrong with my car and asked if wanted to proceed with the work. i declined as i needed my car by 11. i got a ride to go pick up my car and pay my bill. the bill was almost 500 dollars. now i did approve an oil change. so i paid 400 dollars for them to tell me what i already knew what was wrong with my car and didn't get anything fixed. i feel like i was ripped off and drastically inconvenienced. i have had good expiernces in the past but this has left a very bad taste. Would be nice when billing a customer to let them know they had a $45 credit available and was not aware till I got home and reviewed the bill. Went back and was told it was too late to post the credit ($45) back to my checking account (somehow I think it could have been done). Manager said the same thing. Neither seemed to want to try. I asked IF I was told or given time to review the bill I would have surely ask about it and would have taken the credit. Who wouldn't right? So I am left with unused credits waiting for my next visit to use (IF I REMEMBER) Customer courtesy. IF you see a credit pop up on the screen all you needed to do is to let the customer know it was available so they can make the call! Hope this helps for improving the customers support!

Dropped my vehicle off the night before my 9:00 appointment. I had an airbag recall, I needed the air conditioner looked at. I also wanted to have any service done that needed it. I was never contacted about the vehicle for the entire day. I had to call to find out what happened at 4:00. There were some suggestions listed for my vehicle upkeep, that I may have agreed to if I had been informed of earlier in the day. I was told that I was not eligible for a loaner and couldn't be without a vehicle. So no other service was performed. Based on the lack of communication, I will be having my vehicle and my wife 's vehicle serviced elsewhere. I cannot recommend your dealership to others.

Although my experience started shaky, it ended Fabulously! I called the general phone number to try to speak with someone to confirm that a vehicle I saw on-line was still available, the girl answering (utilizing a bunch of big vocabulary in the process of stating she'll transfer me to someone) then put me on hold. Almost 4 minutes went by before a woman in Service picked up & asked if I needed assistance. (Alison or Amanda I believe, don't recall her name but she was very nice & professional.) I then asked for sales & Catherine I believe picked up right away. From there, I spoke with Dominick and he checked & confirmed the vehicle was available. I asked he please hold it for me as I'd be there shortly and was VERY interested. He confirmed he had keys in hand. Arriving & asking for him, another very professional associate assisted me - actually walking me back to him. After Dominick confirmed my needs, I was introduced to Patrick Rustici, and the rest is history.... Professional & knowledgeable folks almost all along the way, good thing my First Impression didn't turn me away. Looking forward to meeting y'all's Service Folks tomorrow morning as I have appt for some accessories to be installed. Thanks! Fred

I brought in my truck with an issue related to a bad coolant control valve... which was on national backorder. Laura in service kept me updated twice weekly and got me in a loaner so quick! I really appreciated the personal care by her and the staff in the loaner dept whom were all great also. My truck was returned to me fixed and freshly washed. The whole experience left me feeling like I made the right choice in dealerships. The service advisor is the face of the company when these things happen and Laura was amazing at her job!

The only highlight of our experience was meeting with Gerry in finance to close the deal. Gerry was knowledgeable, respectful and helpful when it came time to discuss the service/protection packages your dealer provides. Daniel, despite his calm demeanor and willingness to help, seemed unsure of his answers and his inability to take charge and have a proactive approach to solve our concerns left a bad taste in our mouths. Hopefully time will help with becoming more knowledgeable and understanding of the vehicle features and the sales cycle, which will ultimately help him provide a better service experience to his customers. We brought up a concern regarding the oil level in one of our new vehicles, the Equinox, not being topped off before the car left the dealer, and after giving us, what we thought was unnecessary push back for expecting to have all fluid levels topped off in the (any) vehicle purchased, he agreed that we “can just come in” to get it taken care of. My wife called the service department and was told otherwise - an appointment needed to be made in order to bring the vehicle in. Here we are almost a week later, and that issue is yet to be resolved and not a single phone has been placed by Daniel to us to follow up. After days passed, I finally got into the Equinox, since that’s the car my wife drives to work, I noticed a smell of cigarettes in the vehicle (one I still sense while sitting in the car, writing this to you). We reached out to Priscilla Lucas, who at first seemed willing to help with our buying process but now doesn’t have the time to come to the phone when we call to express our concerns. She, through Emma, her co-worker who answered the phone, deferred me to Daniel. Priscilla was also the person who reached out to “set an appointment” to “make the process go smoothly and be more efficient”. She instructed me to ask for Morgan Taylor upon arrival to the dealership - she might as well be a made-up character because she never showed her face and we left a voicemail for her two days ago regarding the oil level in the car and the cigarette smell, and have yet to hear back from her. In the 15+ year of client service experience I have, I have learned clarity and honesty go a long way, to help build trust and long lasting relationships. So far, we only got that from Gerry and no one else at your dealership. We feel like our concerns are not being heard or cared to be addressed by anyone and it doesn’t help us trust this dealership for any future business. The fact of the matter is that I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do business with you. Sincerely, Juan Carmona

My car had a clutch pedal that was not returning in the up position. Brought the car in to Ingersoll back in October. Cost around 4k to fix. Then, now I'm back again for the same issue, and was told it will cost 7k to fix. (This is not a wear and tear issue). I told them that, since this is the second time they are repairing the same issue, I will pay the 7k.......BUT, they must guarantee their work this time for 12 months. I "do not want to spend thousands more!!!! They said, unfortunately we cannot do that. (You would think that they would stand by their work....but no. I don't feel this request is unreasonable. Plus...... there's still a good chance that they were the ones that screwed it up back in October. I will "never " recommend their service to "anyone ". They said it was contaminated back in October, now they said it was contaminated again. For all I know, they are the ones that screwed up in October. They could not even tell me where the contamination was coming from.......the just figured that if they replaced "everything ".....the problem will simply go away. Very sad, being as my car is a Chevy....and they are a Chevy dealership.

We agree this is very strange we have tried to work with your extended service contract company. Something caused the cap for the shared brake fluid and clutch fluid to deform or almost melt. This is a modified performance vehicle. We do not know what is happening to the fluid but it can only be a few things ,we are not sure if the fluid has been tampered with and we are not sure what else can cause this to happen more than once. We found same type of issue last time. We would love to help but we cannot offer a warranty. Of course. all the parts replaced have a warranty from the manufacturer, we guarantee our workmanship for 90 days. In this situation (if someone is adding a chemical that is damaging the components we cannot guarantee that will not happen again.We tried only replacing the damaged parts last time and flushed the fluid and installed new fresh fluid, but now that the same damage is occurring we can only guess that someone is adding something to the fluid , or the problem is something residual in the brake system , that is why we recommended replacing all the brake and clutch components that touch fluid. We are willing to try and work something out but this is a mysterious case for sure.

Our new Buick enclave is an amazing car. We had an electrical problem that kept sending us warning thru on star And shut down all sound in car. On what turned out to be our third time coming in for the same problem. Laura reached out to Shep. He had us bring the car back immediately After failed attempts to fix the problem on 7/15 we left the car. Shep figured out the a plug was improperly in stalled. He kept after the issue until. It was so far so good solved Laura did a great job. But Shep went way out of his way to correct the issue. He is by far the best employee in service. He continuously kept me in formed as to progress after a full month and payment on a car we could not drive we got our car back. Again Shep gets triple a five star reviewed. He represents. I originally went online at Ingersoll on a vehicle search because vehicle with my personal preferences and a fair was in stock, I wasn't quite ready then. Several weeks late it was still there so I visited the dealership the week before I purchased. The dealership was clean and the staff immediately directed me to lounge are where there beverages and snacks and told me a sales person would be by. Sean came to lounge area and greeted me and took me to his sales desk area. He was friendly and worked hard at answering all my question. He took me out the vehicle and I looked it over. We returned to the sales area where discussed finance options. In the meantime, Sean had the truck brought to the front doors and then said lets take it for test drive. I drove a few miles, returned to the dealership where Sean worked some payment and finance options. After looking at options trade and values, we picked a plan and Sean returned with finance person and he explained which was best option for me and why. This was all on 08/17. I agreed to purchase that vehicle then and submitted a down payment. Sean and I followed up with each other during the week. I picked up vehicle on 08/24/2025

Came in for vehicle inspection and oil change and tire rotation. Left and noticed that my oil pressure fluctuates more than normally. Returned to dealer. Upon second inspection my rear leaf bumper mounts are rotted and now I have an oil pan leak. I’m also missing my valve stem caps on the right side of the vehicle. So how do you think I feel. Having 2 inspections less than an hour apart. The second tech finds things the first one looses things and didn’t look under my truck. Your quick lube employer Dante needs and education in communication with the customer and better manners focusing on the person in front of him and not all over the place. When I use to bring my truck in I dealt with service advisors that went over your inspection and pointed out what needed to be done right away and what you could wait a little on. Thise days are definitely gone.

Peter Hall was wonderful to work with. He made the process very easy. Great salesperson! Highly recommend. The office system itself is not efficient. After several calls and trying to connect with people via internet, finally had to show up to the dealership to get salesperson attention. Person who answers the phone can be very pushy to set up a test drive and doesn’t give the requested information which initiated the call. She read from a script and wouldn’t alter to customer requests. Finance, super nice guy, but found his presentation not fully transparent and could have been better organized with clearly defined fees. Tried to contact both sales and finance by phone, was told they don’t have voicemail, they wouldn’t give out email. Left messages, both people reported to me they never got the messages. So frustrating. The way the dealership runs is not helping the wonderful salespeople that work there. Could be so much better.

I had an 8:00 appointment. I dropped the car off the night before. My truck (my business vehicle) was taken in for assessment at 2:00pm instead of 8:00am. There was no way my service could be completed by the time I received my notice. And some of the parts we not in stock. Accordingly, my Truck was not available until 2:00pm on day 3. My truck is my business and I was without it for 2 days.

I have been having my Suburban and Jaguar XKR serviced at Ingersoll for years. I would give their service department 5 stars—once you get there. It seems a couple of months ago something changed in their appointment scheduling process. Whomever they have scheduling appointments now is beyond useless. Scheduling the last two appointments has been a long and frustrating process. The people clearly have no idea what they are doing, and just seem to follow a script. I’m guessing they outsourced the function. It’s bad enough that I’m considering finding another service shop. The first situation was simple replacement of the liftgate actuator. I was told it would take a week—full evaluation and then order the parts. I put it off (and dealt with the annoyance of having to manually raise the gate and use a board to hold it up) to coincide with an upcoming weeklong trip to Geneva. Dropped the Suburban at Ingersoll and had the limo pick me up there, and then I’d have the limo drop me off so I could pick up the Suburban on my way home. The repair that was going to take a week was done before my flight to Geneva took off. The second was an oil change, tire rotation, and replacement of a sway bar link. Same routine, no answers. Clearly had no idea what they were talking about. Long hold…they finally said they had to check and get back to me…never got back to me. I went ahead with the oil change and tire rotation scheduling.and just replaced the link myself. If you can manage to get through their scheduling process, great. But for anything beyond an oil change avoid the wasted time and frustration—consider finding an alternative for your servicing needs.

I went in for my routine 5,000 mile oil and filter change. The Service Rep told me afterwards that part of my oil cap was broken off and if I wanted, I could have it replaced for $40.00. Obviously, the service tech either that day, or in my previous oil change, had broken the cap. I had no reason to ever remove the cap since for 9 years I have been going to Ingersoll for my oil changes every 5,000-6000 miles. The dealer should've come clean with me on the damage they caused vs. telling me that somehow the broken cap mysteriously appeared or was my fault and that I should pay the $40.00

This is the second time I’ve had an issue similar to this. I have to drive over an hour and 15 minutes to get to your dealership they did almost everything on the list. The last thing on the list was rotate the tires which they did rotate the tire tires. However, they did not check or fill up any of the tires to the proper pressure once they change them on a big truck the front and back are different. Also, they did not finish hooking up the sensors properly so they would tire pressure on one of the tires they called me and claim they were done 45 minutes before you close and I didn’t notice these problems until I drove home with my truck after being dropped off so I had no option but to drive all the way home and then drive all the way back to the next day so your technician can spend 20 minutes finishing his job when he had 45 minutes left in his day the night before and I would not have had to drive all the way back, wasting many hours of my day costing me money that I lost waiting on a job that could’ve been finished the night before like I said this is the second time this type of thing has happened where I left to find out they didn’t finish the work and had to come back again. I’m sure it’s in your note somewhere hopefully although it may not be as clear like it was their fault, but it certainly was last time as well. They did not clear out the computer screen I believe was the biggest problem so I had to go back for them to do that simple job. This has cost me time and money lost deal dealing with this type of thing. It is very unprofessional and easy not to have these problems occur. Also, I called yesterday morning to ask to talk to a manager and they assured me he would call back that day. It is now 1 o’clock the following day so well over 24 hours and still have not heard from a manager again, just making the dealership seem very unresponsible

Buying the 2 vehicles with John Gallagher was a pleasure as was working with the finance gentlemen. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience during my 1st service on my new truck at Ingersol. I had scheduled a wait appt and when I arrived the service rep said this is goi g to be a very long wait based on what needed to be done. I had mentioned my new registration was on site and I figured they would put on the sticker but it wasn’t and I had to figure out for myself that it was put in the glove box. I inconvenienced my pregnant wife with a 10 month old to drive 40 minutes to come pick me up and drive me back the next day. Car was ready at 12:00 on my appointment day. Finally having left the brand new 80K truck I would’ve expected it to at least be cleaned but it wasn’t, it was more dirty than how I arrived in it. That was very disappointing, I wasn’t even asked if I wanted the cleaning which my last dealership always did. Overall not a great service experience for a client who just bought over $110,000 worth of vehicles.

Hayley was very kind and knowledgeable when dropping off the vehicle. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5 was the lack of follow-up. I was told I'd receive a call at 2p to update me on the work done and what was needed. I followed up at 4p after not hearing from Hayley and was told my vehicle will have to stay overnight. I didn't plan for this so I said I'd pick the car up. I then received a text saying the recall wasn't done yet and could come at 5:30p. I understand workloads are unpredictable and a lot for Friday afternoons, but I did not plan to leave my car since I didn't hear back. That said, the work performed was done with great detail and as quoted. I just wish the communication was better.

I always receive prompt greeting by knowledgeable and friendly service advisors and my truck worked on quickly for oil change/tire rotation, cabin filter replacment, and serpentine belt replacement. Serpentine belt was original at 10 years old and technician saw some cracks developing and recommended replacement. Only took a little over an hour on a Saturday for all work, which was excellent. Ingersoll Auto dealership has better service department than the local shops I believe, trustworthy, and competitive pricing when considering OEM parts are being used and installed by technicians experienced with my vehicle. I will continue brining my truck to Ingersol.

When I booked my appt I spoke to an advisor sharing I would like an oil change and I had an issue with my brake pad sensor. They had booked me a 740 AM appt in which I dropped my car off the night before due to children/work schedule. By 945AM on appt day my car still had not been taken in for service. When I called for an update, I was told it would be a few more hours until they got my car in to look at it. I do not think this would have happened if it I was waiting for my car. This was unacceptable as they did not tell me it would be all day appointment, and my children had doctor appts that afternoon. After sharing I was going to come get my car without servicing, the manager got me a rental car so I could take my kids to the appointment. My car was done by 5pm that day, but I was over an hour away at my childrens' appointment, and then had to return to dealership for the 3rd time to pick up my car from a simple appointment. I asked for a service supervisor to call me in which they never did. This is the second bad service experienced I've had over the past 6 months and I have a brand new Acadia. The first time I got an oil change and the service knocked out all my tire sensors, in which I had to return to get serviced again. This is very disappointing as I used to only get my cars serviced at Ingersoll, but I will be finding a new dealership to service my cars.

And the cost ended up being 25% more than the estimate, and that is just extreme. Total cost is what keeps me from coming back to the dealership; costs are just hiked up constantly. I will only return if I must, otherwise I will seek out more cost-effective shops in my community.

The scheduling, regular servicing, battery and wiper change were all great. I did question why I needed the battery terminal service if I was getting a new battery and terminals were clean (I had just inspected them because I had to jump start the truck), but I let it go and just paid. On the way home, I noted that the tire pressure warning light was on. Three tires showed proper pressure on the dash readings, the fourth was just a flat line. When I checked the tire, it was fine. One of the monitors must not have been reset (front right). I left a message Saturday afternoon, but I guess your party had already started. I did not get a call back on Monday. Today (Tuesday) I called asking if I could drop in tomorrow to have that sensor set. I am 45 minutes away, but happen to have a meeting in Wilton. I will be passing back through on the way to Kent between 11:00 and 11:30. Apparently there are no appointments then, but I feel that I should get squeezed on as this should have been done on Saturday when I paid over 400 bucks for my service. I will still stop by in late morning tomorrow and hope that this will be taken care of. It would be nice to confirm that and know who to contact upon arrival. Thank you. Darrell 860 488 8214

Terrible experience for a simple oil change. They left plastic on the seat, paper on the floor, and spilled oil in the engine, causing an unbearable smell inside the car while driving. I requested an exterior car wash and it was not done. I returned the next day, but they did not touch the car, saying I would have to wait 30 minutes or more just for them to check the issue. Since I didn’t have that much time, I left and am still driving the car in this condition. Lack of care and respect for the customer.

I went for an oil change, apparently they did tire rotation and now the tire pressure monitor is on. When it turned on I instantly checked the T.P and they didn't even bother to set my t.p all of the tires were different. It is very frustrating! Now ill have to waste my time, gas to drive there again and figure out what is going on. The tire is not defective because I put air in it and its not dropping. My app says that no issues yet on the dashboard light is on!!!! Also they lately forget to wash or spay the car after oil change.

The technician identified that the tire pressure was low, which was listed on the discharge, but they did not fill it to the proper psi. This would’ve been so easy to do. I’m surprised they didn’t. Even Jiffy Lubes fills the tire air and topped off the wiper fluid.

My check engine light was on back in November. Was told a crack on the Flex Pipe most likely was the cause. The part needed to be ordered. I said I will replace the Flex Pipe at my next oil change. I was in January 9th for the oil change but was told it would take a week to get the part. Not wanting to come back in a week, I said I'll do it in 5000 miles at my Next oil change. Meanwhile, I have to drive around with the check engine light on and there isn't even a guarantee that a new Flex Pipe will turn off the light.

The routine maintenance that was scheduled for Jan 9, was done and was done well. The loaner was set up for me to use. No problem. The woman in the loaner department was very good. However, my car was also brought in to have a paint less dent repair, confirmed by the person I spoke to in the call center--in another country. When I got to the service area, I was told I needed to have a claim number with the company that does the repair. I came home, called AVAIL, and got a claim number. I called the claim number in to the service department. I was told that the dealership could not honor the claim, and that I needed to call AVAIL; they would send someone to my house for the repair. On Jan 12, I called AVAIL again. They told me I needed to call Nobilis for the claim. I called Nobilis, and they set up a claim with a GMC/Buick Dealership in Watertown. I asked if that dealership was the same as the Ingersoll's dealership in Danbury. I was told NO. It was a different GMC/Buick dealership, and I would have to drive my car to Watertown. I called the number they gave me only to find out IT IS INGERSOLL of Watertown. Frustrated at that point, I called the Danbury Ingersoll and spoke to Pete Terano. He heard my tale and assured me that the repair would be made in Danbury. His help took care of the issue, and we thank him for getting the issue resolved. I have an appointment set for 1/30/2026 with a loaner. I have two contracts: one for paint less repairs and an extended warranty through 10/26/2032. My question is: When/if we need the warranties, will there be a problem and who would I contact? Finally, there needs to be a Danbury number at Danbury Ingersoll to schedule an appointment, not a call center in Asia--or Alabama, Florida, or Wisconsin for the extended warranties. Thank you.

Exceptional experience - bar none, the best experience I have had buying a new car. I live ~1000 miles away from the dealership. Throughout the process, we received proactive and forthright communications at times that were convenient for us. And when we arrive to pickup the car, the team had put together all of the required documentation for an out of state sale and registration, schedule a time with the finance team, and spent time helping us setup onstar and configuring the vehicle. Jhade, the service agent who assisted me, was very professional in every respect: courteous, patient, understanding, etc. Besides purchasing a vehicle for my father at Ingersoll in the past, I have serviced my Yukon there. In other words, I have been interacting with the Ingersoll staff for a while. While some of those staff members have been adequately decent, Jhade was exceptional.
